Just finished my read of Problogger article about The Australian AdSense team, Mel Ann and Tim, has compiled a 5 steps guide to success your Google Adsense. Me personally, think that it’s a MUST see video for all serious Adsense publishers, no matter you’re an Adsense newbie or experienced publisher.

In this video, they mentioned 5 ultimate points to improve your Google Adsense earnings.
Here we go:

1. Analyse your webpages

Determine your primary content area for ads location. Large ad unit sizes work best. Also, well presented content will attract better advertisers.

2. Set up custom channels

Custom channels is like a labelling system that help you determine which ad units perform the best. Is an important tool to analyse and optimise your Adsense ads earning.

3. Optimise your ad unit design and placement

After get results from custom channels, start optimise your ad unit design and placement.

There are 3 areas to improve: Ad Size (which work best for sidebar, top banner and footer ad), Ad Colours (Blend background, Borderless, Highlight link colours and URL) and Ad Position (put near where viewers look for information).

4. Maximise revenue from multiple units

Try to put in multiple ad units to maximise revenue. Remember, the first ad unit on the page always shows the top ads. It means the first ad should make you more money per click than other ad units. So, choose your first ad unit position wisely.

5. Track and measure your results

Create report to track your ad units performance and do necessary changes to maximize Adsense revenue.

I’m happy that at this stage in my career I often find myself writing articles about energy-efficient ways to use computers, peripherals, gadgets, and consumer electronics. It makes me feel so, you know, virtuous.

Whenever I crank out a list of helpful hints, one of the first items I include is this obvious but often overlooked gem of advice: Kill your stupid screen saver. In the good old days of tube monitors, screen savers such as those unforgettable flying toasters were invented to prevent burn-in, a permanent shadow branded into the phosphors of your monitor by a static image of, say, a spreadsheet that you left on your screen all weekend.

Well, flat-screen LCD monitors don’t burn in, so if you still have flying toasters or an endlessly looping slide show of your adorable niece and nephew, you’re behind the times. When you’re not sitting in front of your monitor it should be off off off.

It warmed my heart to read at Green Daily that Telstra, the biggest phone company in Australia, has removed all the corporate screen savers from the 36,000 computers in its offices. What will happen? The change will cut tons of CO2, which they claim will be the equivalent of taking 140 cars off the road for a year. Good on ya, mate. Follow Telstra’s example. Let your flying toasters crash and burn.

So you love making and designing greeting cards, then Greeting Card Universe might just be the online business you’re looking for. This is especially great if you love photography, illustration, or painting, and you’re keen to turn your artworks in to greeting cards.

General

Greeting Card Universe is pretty much a “free” service. At the moment, there’s no charge to sign up for an account and start an online greeting card store.

When you sign up, you’re able to customize your online shop (choose name, upload logo, create a personal profile, etc). You can then upload as many card designs as you like (provided they approve your designs) and sell them in your store.

Cards sell for US$1.99 each. Designers/sellers are given 50 cents for each sale. As a designer/store owner, you are able to purchase your own cards at a discount (US$1.49 each). So, you can easily buy these cards and sell them for a higher price elsewhere.

Payment

Payments are sent to designers/sellers once they reach the minimum payment threshold (US$25). You can increase your minimum, if you wish. They send cheques or Paypal payments.

They provide some basic statistics of visits and sales on your account dashboard. There are also some information showing how visitors/buyers find your cards.

Also, there’s an option to make your designs available as free ecards. When these ecards are sent, there’s an ad that will say something like “This free ecard is also available as a print greeting card.” - pointing to where they can buy it online.

You may have already knew and used BlogClicker as one place to get traffic for your weblog. Here ’s another cool place that work pretty much the same as BlogClicker, Blog Explosion. I find that it’s also an effective way to get some “eyeballs” for your weblog.

5. Unnatural Body Position
There are only so many ways the human body can bend. When Paris Hilton’s head is tilted one way, her body can’t go the other and if her arms are out to her sides, her torso will appear differently than it would if her arms were above her head. Look at the way a star is posing and if the pose is impossible to mimic the photo has probably been altered.
